In a shocking incident, local authorities in the Nikhom Kham Soi district of Mukdahan province intervened when a son, reportedly under the influence of marijuana and glue-sniffing, attacked his father with a sharp knife. The son, identified as Sukkai, aged 47, was apprehended by over ten officials while he was asleep in his house after the incident.
During his arrest, Sukkai was incoherent but managed to convey that he had consumed marijuana and inhaled a substance, combined with alcohol consumption, which led him to hallucinate. He believed that his father had hired someone to kill him, prompting him to attack his father, causing deep wounds on his father’s hand and fingers. The injured father was taken to the Nikhom Kham Soi hospital and is reported to be in a stable condition.
The father revealed that this wasn’t the first time his son had physically harmed him. The frequent use of marijuana and glue-sniffing by his son often resulted in violent outbursts. He urged the police to take strict legal action, fearing that if his son was released, he might commit a more severe or even fatal act.
The police have taken the accused into custody and handed him over to the investigators of the Nikhom Kham Soi police station for further legal proceedings.
