SAMUT PRAKAN, THAILAND – In a shocking turn of events, a cannabis shop in Samut Prakan became the scene of a violent altercation, as a group of teenagers attacked the shop owner’s younger brother over a payment dispute. The incident, which occurred on November 1, 2023, has raised serious concerns about the safety and security of cannabis shops in the region.
According to Ch7 News, the group of teenagers, referred to as the “green line” group, entered the shop with a firearm and assaulted the shop owner’s younger brother, leaving him injured. The dispute arose when the teenagers purchased cannabis but refused to transfer the money for the transaction. This led to a heated argument and subsequent attack.
The shop owner, a 28-year-old woman named Amittra, revealed that this was not the first time the group had caused trouble in her shop. They had a history of pretending to transfer money for cannabis purchases but never actually completing the transaction. On the night of October 30, 2023, the group exhibited the same behavior, leading to a refusal of service by the shop owner’s younger brother. The situation escalated the following morning when the group returned to the shop, seemingly intoxicated, and attacked the younger brother and his friend.
In response to the attack, Amittra’s boyfriend, Warawut, aged 30, and his friends chased down the attackers, leading to a violent confrontation in a public area near the shop. The police were called to the scene, and both parties were taken into custody for further investigation.
The police, led by Deputy Investigator Kanthaphat Chaowadon of the Samut Prakan City Police Station, are currently investigating the incident. They have recovered a .38 caliber bullet casing from the scene and are working to gather evidence and witness statements to determine the course of legal action against both parties.
