BANGKOK, THAILAND โ€” CHAISKAM NITISIRI, a senior Pheu Thai Party member, has reaffirmed his readiness to assume the role of Thailandโ€™s Prime Minister, quelling concerns about his health. At 75, Chaikasem, who previously served as attorney general, addressed these issues head-on during a Thai PBS interview.

โ€œWith parliamentary support, I am fully prepared to take on the responsibility,โ€ said CHAISKAM. This statement comes as the Pheu Thai Party contemplates its next move in a politically turbulent period, following the dismissal of SRETTHA THAVISIN by the Constitutional Court.

The party is now tasked with choosing between CHAISKAM and PAETONGTARN SHINAWATRA as their nominee for the top position. Despite previous health concerns, CHAISKAM emphasized his capability to serve, underscoring his commitment to the role. With BHUMJAITHAI leader ANUTIN CHARNVIRAKUL backing Pheu Thaiโ€™s nominee, all eyes are on the upcoming parliamentary vote.
