NONTHABURI – The Bhumjaithai party has initiated legal proceedings against Mr. Chuwit Kamolvisit, accusing him of defaming their cannabis policy during a major “Kao Klai” party rally. The spokesperson for Bhumjaithai, Mr. Supachai Jaisamut, represented the party at the Nonthaburi Provincial Court.
The party alleges that during the rally, Chuwit campaigned against their cannabis policy and even distributed shirts opposing the policy to the attendees. This act, according to the party, has tarnished their reputation significantly.
Following the initial hearing, the court has scheduled another session for November 20th. However, the Bhumjaithai party has indicated their willingness to negotiate. They are open to discussions if Chuwit agrees to a public apology and offers compensation for the alleged damages.
